DEMAND SEES BARNES LOGISTICS GROW ITS VEHICLE FLEET
Barnes Logistics, one of the UK’s leading logistics and warehousing companies, has announced that it has acquired an additional eight Scania tractor units to add to its growing fleet of vehicles. The new vehicles were purchased to help service the demand the company is experiencing for its logistics and distribution operations.
The new 44 tonne vehicles cost more than £360,000 and will be located at the company’s two principal locations in Oldham and Coventry, serving client businesses across the UK. The new vehicles increase the Barnes Logistics fleet to more than 50 vehicles.
Barnes Logistics serves the UK’s motor manufacturing industry which over the last year has seen a 10 year high in production, up 3.9% on previous years, and a 2.7% increase in exports. This industry growth has helped create the demand for Barnes Logistics’ who specialize in the delivery of ‘Just in time’ contracts that are so critical to the automotive industry.

Barnes Logistics specialises in providing logistical support and warehousing to customers across the UK. The company operates a fleet of more than 50 vehicles and has seven depots across the UK as well as warehousing in Oldham.
